TUBEROSES
SITUATION: A well drained position out in full sunlight. Prepare soil several weeks before planting with the usual well-rotted organic matter or complete fertiliser worked through. TIME OF PLANTING: June to August. Plant bulbs just below the soil surface and space 20 cm apart. WHILE GROWING:Water regularly in the summer months. DIGGING AND STORING: Bulbs should be lifted and divided every two years. Dig bulbs around May/June, cut off old leaves and allow them to dry. When completely dry, shake off any excess soil and trim roots. The smaller bulbs can then be removed and these should flower in the coming season.
